Could you be the full-time Traction Software Development Engineer (f/m/d), based in Mannheim we’re looking for? Your future role
In Mannheim, over 950 colleagues from 36 different countries work together to develop locomotives, as well as signal and propulsion technology for vehicles that are deployed both regionally and worldwide. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Gerold Heres (Traction Control Site Metier Manager) and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates. We’ll look to you for - Design and implement software for traction converters and traction battery control solutions
- Co-ordinate software design for Traction control solutions with Software and Control team for whole train and being the one who support/lead during technical review or for training with the final customer
- Support Control Engineers for the functional requirement specification (FRS) writing
- Write the software requirement specification according to the functional requirement specification
- Support the verification and validation activities on test bench and support the commissioning on vehicle
- Insure technical interfaces with subcontractors team and delivery acceptation on software development project, respecting Alstom processes and legislation rules
- Responsible for the configuration management of the software project
