PreciPoint GmbH, located in Garching near Munich, develops intelligent microscope systems and innovative analysis software, thus contributing to the digitalisation and further development of laboratories. Our customers range from medical laboratories and research institutions to industry.
To support our growing team, we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/x) Optics & Photonics at our office in Garching as soon as possible.
Your tasks
- Support in setting-up, testing, running, and using novel and custom advanced light microscopy systems (multiphoton, label-free microscopy) and their control software for digital pathology applications
- Help in operating advanced optical microscopes to collect and summarize measurement data
- Close collaboration with internal microscope developers and engineering team
- Follow standard operation procedures, lab safety rules, and know basic troubleshooting
Your profile
- Enrolled student in the field of photonics/optics
- Ideally first practical experience in optical concepts, such as transmission, reflection, imaging, lasers, and microscopy
- If possible, first knowledge in building optical set ups for image formation
- Preferably user skills of microscope software, e.g. Micro-Manager
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English skills, German as a plus
