Important for the application: For this position, a delegation to the USA is planned for three years directly after the recruitment process. Local recruitment in the USA would also be possible.
Your future role.
- You'll be responsible for a product development team consisting of both electrical and mechanical engineers.
- You’re going to monitor and proactively mitigate risks and issues through all phases of the product development lifecycle to ensure quality and on-time delivery state-of-the-art systems.
- Collaborating with product management to define a product roadmap that enables achievement of business goals in a cost-effective and low risk manner will be one of your tasks.
- You’ll globally execute an architecture strategy to create a new generation of the product platform for Innomotics medium voltage drives.
- You enjoy working on challenging and complex projects while balancing deadlines, budget, and scope requirements.
- You’ll be driving constant improvement based on KPIs tied to business performance levers.
- You’ll also interact with staff in their professional development.
- You’re going to interface with cross functional groups that include (but not limited to) power electronics, SW development, product compliance, applications engineering, manufacturing, type testing and drafting.
- Furthermore, you’ll also be developing new design methods, processes or changes in design to improve manufacturing efficiency at factories or sub-vendors.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or in a related field.
- You bring 10+ years of relevant professional experience. Advanced degree may be substituted for years of experience.
- You have 3+ years of people management experience.
- You got a strong grasp on fundamentals of electrical engineering (or) power electronics concepts, theories, and practical applications of medium voltage drives.
- You can demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of complex assignments.
- Experience in control theory for the design, analysis, and testing of power electronics-based converters is also required.
- You bring development experience on the Innomotics Perfect Harmony GH180 product.
- You have knowledge in organization's business practices and issues.
- You got strong technical leadership, documentation, project management and writing skills.
- You’re ready to travel (5% within the USA).
- You are fluent in English and German.
