We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with the following profile to join our team in St. Gallen.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications
- Design and develop mechatronics components, sub-assemblies and systems for products considering the given requirements
- Develop and maintain the control of a fully automated system to operate Meteodrones even in remote areas
- Prototype, test, and iterate designs to achieve desired functionality, performance and quality
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure efficient production processes
- Support the production in the commissioning of systems and ensure the quality and reliability of the product
- Carry out installation and maintenance work on the field
- Stay update on industry trends and advancements in the applied technologies
Your qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
- Proficient in programming microcontrollers, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other control devices to manage and regulate the behavior of the mechanical and electronic components in the system
- Basic knowledge in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
- Familiar with electronic components commonly used in mechatronic systems, such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and integrated circuits.
- Experience with hands-on prototyping and building up test stands to verify the developed systems and identify improvement potential
- Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly and persuasively
