Job framework data

Work location: Rhine Valley, Eastern Switzerland

Home office: For residents in European Countries 1 day, for residents in Switzerland at least 2 days (social security reasons)

Tasks

Your Tasks:

  • Leading a compact global team within a matrixed organizational structure and establishing procedural frameworks and protocols.
  • Developing and implementing programs to ensure supplier compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards and Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) requirements.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to enhance their ESG performance and adherence to RBA guidelines, including conducting assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as procurement, legal, and compliance teams, to integrate supplier ESG and RBA considerations into procurement and contracting processes.
  • Monitoring and reporting on supplier compliance with ESG and RBA standards to internal and external stakeholders across various regions.
  • Leading efforts to stay updated on evolving ESG and RBA regulations and ensuring supplier compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Providing ESG training and education to internal staff and suppliers to promote awareness and best practices.
  • Supporting sustainability reporting efforts, including the preparation of ESG disclosures, reports, and other communications related to supplier compliance.

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, sustainability, or business administration.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as environmental science, sustainability, or business administration.
  • Minimum of 8 years of expertise in ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility, with a specific focus on ensuring supplier adherence to ESG and RBA standards.
  • Proficient understanding of ESG and RBA regulations and benchmarks, including familiarity with the Code of Conduct and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).
  • Proven experience in conducting supplier ESG assessments, audits, or due diligence, and utilizing ESG frameworks like the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), or equivalent widely used frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of comprehensively analyzing and interpreting complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence and drive organizational change.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and communication, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and negotiate agreements with suppliers and other stakeholders.
