While Germany is a preference, the role can be based out of London, Paris, Milan or Madrid.
This is an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced Sr. Vendor Manager interesting in building a new business (Music Merch - Apparel), while continuing to flex their Retail muscle with strategic Physical Music (Vinyl/CD) vendors in Germany.
Merch is a strategic priority for Amazon Music, central to fostering fandom and generating incremental revenue and profits for the Org. We are just getting started in this exciting line of business in Europe, with much room to test, learn, and scale.
This role will entail extending existing Physical Music vendors to Merch as well as building new partnerships with Labels/ Merch Licensees across Europe. Given the wide scope, stakeholders will span Music Industry teams (Label Relations), US based Merch vendors, US Merch teams besides the locally based AVS/ SSCM/Retail teams. You will be working closely with newly hired Merch specialists to build out processes required to launch new Artist Merch quickly, efficiently and at and scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage the 3 largest Physical Music vendors in DE
- Partner with US Merch team and US based Merch vendors to expand selection and grow business in Europe through Merch on Demand or Retail 1P
- Launch Merch partnerships with existing and new selling partners in DE
- Work closely with German Music Industry team to scope, prioritise and launch Artist partnerships that grow the Merch business
- Mentor a team of 1-3 Merch specialists to ramp up and build processes that help launch Merch efficiently across Europe
- Work with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to enable successful brand launches
- Build an understanding of the Merch market segment and customers to proactively feedback into International product roadmap and monetisation opportunities

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN
- Prior knowledge of Retail operations, category management and vendor negotiations
BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN
- MBA or equivalent
- Familiarity with Music industry
- Prior experience in categories related to merchandise / licensed selection/ Fashion brands
- German language skills
