Development of the new generation of PPU for spacecraft propulsion (up to 1200V@600W output) incorporating novel technologies such as GaN transistors, planar magnetics, and fully digital control algorithms to reduce the size, mass and cost as well as to enhance controllability and diagnostics. High-frequency converters design using planar transformers and GaN transistors operating up to 1MHz covering multiple topologies design including soft-switching, hard-switching, isolated and not-isolated converters.

Responsible for the development of a 250W AC-DC power supply composed by a resonant converter, PFC stage and low power standby converter for medical applications. Extensive simulation analyses and modelling of magnetic components from the electric and magnetic perspective using advanced FEM tools. Successfully automated the test bench using Labview to improve design verification process resulting in more accurate, repeatable and reliable results as well as minimizing the product design verification time.
