• Lead Pak-eVentures engineering team, developing and maintaining Pakistan's top-rated website for buying/selling/reviewing cars and bikes, Pakwheels [http://www.pakwheels.com], along with its sister websites such as NaiTazi[http://ads.naitazi.com], TringTring [www.tringtring.com], and PakDonor [www.pakdonor.com] website. • Lead Simplicant [http://www.simplicant.com] engineering team to manage and develop SaaS-based application tracking system.

• Launched various applications successfully in collaboration with Ufone GSM Pakistan, Warid Telecom Pakistan, Telenor Pakistan, and Zain Bahrain . • Major applications launched include SMS-based social networking platform, chatrooms, SMS to instant messaging connectivity (MSN, Yahoo, Gtalk), Buy/Sell over SMS, SMS to email-connectivity, facebook notifications and status updates over SMS, and voice connect service.

• Teach undergraduate CS101 - Introduction to Computing, to a class of over eighty students with four teaching assistants during 2008 autumn quarter [http://chand.lums.edu.pk/~cs101a08/]. • Design course to introduce students to application of computing to different domains, with special emphasis on the financial sector while providing a general overview of computing and developing programming skills to solve complex problems.

• Develop back-office financial applications using GTK, C, and C++ as part of the Bloomberg Tradebook Back-Office Research and Development Team. • Work on different developmental aspects of a major project including development of applications to manage firm profiles, calculate commissions and rebates, trade administration and monitoring, and other related back-office tasks involved in financial stock trade settlement.

• Develop online system for permit sales, citation payments, appeal status lookup, and other account management online services enabled for online credit card payments through TouchNet Payment Services using Java Struts Framework. • Provide web server administration and performing related duties. • Deployed system resulted in the increase of revenue, improved customer service and reduced load on customer support staff.

• Extend PXE BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) Engine written in Java to provide custom functionality through the use of XPath extensions and modifications to the internal architectural of BPEL engine, to allow soap header manipulation and support WS-Addressing that is compatible with both HTTP/SOAP and JBI (Java Business Integration). • Enable JMS support in Avaya’s Diamond project using Apache Axis.

• Develop and maintained online system for permit sales, citations, appeals and other account management services, and provided online credit card payments through SkipJack Financial Services using Java Struts Framework. • Deployed system reduced data entry errors, improved use of parking resources, reduced load on customer support staff, and increased revenue while reducing parking violations. Worst-case wait time for customers during school opening week went from 2.5 hours to 15 minutes.
