I am a Materials Engineering PhD student at UC Santa Barbara. I graduated from Imperial College London with a Master's Degree in Physics with Theoretical Physics. My alma mater, being one of the highest ranking universities in the world, maintains its reputation by having notoriously strict acceptance rates and designing difficult and challenging courses for my Physics degree. I have also been provided with a strong background for research within this field, having completed various courses related to Quantum Mechanics and Solid-State Physics . My current PhD project involves studying the transport within nitride heterostructures, specifically hole transport. This involves conducting full 3-dimensional simulations of the structures by solving Poisson-Drift-Diffusion equations self consistently, incorporating alloy fluctuations within the InGaN or AlGaN region.
