Providing PI services to clients

Providing day-to-day PI system support. Configuration of new interfaces, troubleshooting and enhancements. Implementation of real-time performance monitoring tool in PIAF. Review and documentation of standard ways of working in line with ITIL processes.

Team lead of a small support team dealing with break fixes, projects and regular maintenance tasks. General supervisor tasks such as time writing, job reviews and invoicing. Feasibility study of customer’s request to transfer data via FTP

Replacing existing real-time system with PI system, using PI Historian, RTWebPortal, AF (Application Framework) and ACE. Replacing of PI API boxes with up-to-date hardware and software. Standardisation of PI tag names and descriptors. Day-to-Day management of PI System collecting data from a number of fields using a variety of interfaces and handoff to external parties. Support of Oracle based Production Systems.

Maintained real-time data aquisition system PI, its offshore interfaces and the data handoff to Oracle based Production Reporting System . Supported implemented trending software ProcessNet and PI Datalink. Analysed user requirements and developed additional functionality for Production Reporting System using PL/SQL and Centura. Day-to-day data troubleshooting of the application. Decommissioned applications replaced by new corporate standards.

• Maintained interfaces between real-time database and Oracle based Production Reporting Systems database. Each asset had a separate fronted interface (OFIRS) written in Centura. Wrote and maintained technical support guide. Created new screens and reports to accommodate changing requirements.

Collated production data and maintained Corporate Production Database for all assets. First point of contact for third party queries on this data. Documented all related work procedures. Identified problems and new requirements of database.

Quality checked information on logging tapes and loaded onto Corporate Database. Developed standards and procedures related to data management. Liaised with outside contractors and Shell Business Unit users on issues regarding Geoscience data.

Collated consumption figures of all production, squeeze and stimulation chemicals and reporting of discharges of those chemicals to the DTI. Introduced Chemical Usage and Reporting Database System (CURDS) to key platform staff, demonstrating benefit to platform. Collated and validated corrosion monitoring data. Created reports in various formats. Controlled, updated and distributed platform specific ‘Allowed Chemical List’ to offshore and onshore focal points.
