My everyday work was writing the code according to the MISRA C standard and internal guidelines. To write Doxygen comments and generate documentation. Also, to write unit tests in VectorCast with respect to ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) of the unit. To fulfill V-model I also do reviews in Collaborator, as a peer reviewer for colleague’s artifacts. I participated in the planning of Scrum sprints and program increments, evaluated tasks with story points, all according to the SAFe methodology.

As that was my first commercial project, at the beginning, I was reading many tutorials and onboarding materials. Getting familiar with digital television, code organization, and processes. Mainly, I was bug fixing and debugging after reading logs accessed by PuTTY over a serial port. Usual bugs were glitches and picture or sound freezes. Also, I was writing some unit tests in Google Test framework. We used Eclipse IDE.

I was choosing and assembling hardware parts as 8x8 LED display, 74HC154 decoder, microcontroller board Arduino UNO, etc. We used a FreeRTOS. The code is implemented in C according to MISRA standard. I was also participating in choosing and assembling hardware parts for smartphone dongle project. We used ArduinoPro with ATmega328, RFM9x LoRa Long RF Module, Bluetooth UART module, etc. Also, I was conducting field testing with two sets of dongles, collecting results and improving range and signal quality.
