Dr. Pankaj Madkikar

I am a material scientist with 5+ years of experience in the field of heterogeneous/electrocatalysis. Built a solid background in material science, initially with MS and then with a PhD in electrochemistry. During PhD, I was fortunate to work on a significant issue in up-scaling the PEMFC technology, i.e., insufficient platinum to replace all the Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. During this period, it was my pleasure to collaborate with wonderful people in our group and during various conferences and seminars. These collaborations have concluded with a number of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and intriguing presentations both at home and abroad. Presently at Freudenberg, my passion has been ‘up-scaled’ from bench to pilot and commercial production; thus providing me with a big-picture from TRL 1 to TRL 9. I am also involved in the supply chain management of various key components.
